The concept is excellent, but the game could be much better.

First off, there should be some music while you're on the main menu, reading the tutorial, etc. Some sound effects for menu selection. A cleaner interface and layout for the menus and buttons.

The game play is excellent. However, the game field could be improved by a lot. Make the game field wider, or perhaps use the sort of feel like the animation had. There should also be unique sound effects for jumping and flipping.

I'm also just not feeling it with the background and it's glossy trees.

The achievement system is extremely bugged, and I feel as if there's TOO MANY achievements. All I did was begin playing the game, and already achievements popped up all over the place.

Additionally, if you were going to add achievements, and make a game based off the original animations, you perhaps should have tried contacting Tom or someone else, in order to get access to the actual achievement system. Or, are the achievements in the game new a placeholder, hoping one day you'll be able to do so?

In a nutshell, I love the concept of the game, but I feel the game could be improved by a heck of a lot. They way I'm feeling it, is that someone just got finished with their game tutorial a few days after they've first installed flash.

I'm sorry if you feel that's a bit too negative, but I honestly believe this could be something greater, and I hope you improve upon the game someday.

Perhaps you were in a rush to get this done for a Frank... Or perhaps it was suppose to be a real animation and there is no Frank. I honestly don't understand if it's dedicated to someone, or if the whole animation was suppose to just exist in it's own universe.

If the latter is true, this animation needs some serious work. If the way you drew everything was your art style, that's fine... But you need to add more to the animation.

You can start with adding some background music, perhaps some sound effects. Sound effects for the hot tub, phone ringing, etc.

You can even get a step farther and try to at least attempt some voice acting for the person on the phone. If all you have is your own voice, and it doesn't match, you could always just record yourself muttering incoherent words, so they can go along with the text.

Anyway, if there's really a Frank... Then Happy Birthday Frank.

I'm quite pleased with this game! A lot of the games that come from the people at Newgrounds and the website owners, are all truly remarkable!

However, this one takes the cake for me! The action was amazing. The progression relative to the movies... It was just thrilling!

Managing having to attack the boss while beating up and attacking other people truly keeps you on your toes, and gives you that "rush" feeling that a game like this should!

With the new medal system in place, this makes playing the game over and over again seem a lot more exciting!

Awesome job!

This is basically just a Flash emulation of the NES TMNT ROM. The only was this submission could actually be considered YOURS is if you actually coded the TMNT game that we're all playing, from scratch. The fact that you mention it needs to be run from "powerful computers" means that there's some emulation in flash going on, and that you didn't just re-make the game yourself.

There are plenty of websites out there that let you emulate roms now, with many scripts available to setup an emulator.

It seems like this was just an advertisement to the website you're promoting by using a quick example game.

I mean, if you coded the emulator, kudos to you. But that doesn't give you the right to just slap a TMNT rom into it and say, "Hey guys look, I made TMNT in flash."

Technically, this falls under the "stolen" category.

You did an excellent job adapting Hania's song into animation. The art went well with the song as best it could. I'm glad you were able to put it into an animation without failing. Hania's songs deserve the best. <3

This animation was pretty good. I liked the styles and the choreography. However, it would've been absolutely perfect if you didn't use the Threads of Fate / Dewprism music for it.

Not only is it too familiar to me to recognize it and know it doesn't fit properly... but I personally believe it still wouldn't fit, even if I hadn't know where it came from. A more "rock" or a different style of lighthearted music would've been a better choice for this.

Although, my advice comes two years late... but I just find it disappointing when something great has something JUST a bit off, like out of place music.

Never the less, it's a great animation. Good work!

"Hilarious concept."

This is a hilarious concept. Bears that time travel... And fight crime...

...and solve mysteries!

The only problem I had with this preview, or "episode" or whatever you want to call it... Is that a couple of music tracks were either cut off, or missing.

I notice you told a previous reviewer that there aren't any sound bugs like this. I'm sorry to say, there are, cause I noticed it too. You might want to check it out. When the bears come flying from the sky, something gets cut off before he says something. Also, the introduction theme gets cut off halfway through.

I voted 5, anyway... Just because the concept alone is pretty awesome.
My review is a 7, though... because it just seemed rather short, rushed... and was missing sound. Also, it's presented in a "WE'RE BACK" type of way... repeated over and over again. But um, I don't even remember the "Time Traveling Bears" well... at all... Ever. Was uh, that the joke? Or what?

I always get the same thing. I hold open the door for people, yet people never hold open doors for me. I mean, I can understand if I'm too far away, but if I'm right behind a person and they obviously know I'm there, that's rather rude to just let it slam in my face.

I too get the obnoxious women who are like, "No no, go ahead. I don't need you to hold open a door for me."

Also, I get the same, but opposite reaction from guys. Like... As a guy, you can't hold the door open for another guy apparently. Even when you do, they HAVE to touch the door themselves to be like, "Oh yeah, hey... by the way, I know how to hold open a fucking door!" They don't say it, but the way it is, it implies that.

Also, I work in retail, and know full well about what you're talking about with the parents who have children in strollers and in the way of stuff, but yet have no regard for their child.

I question the parenting skills of most of the parents I see daily. If I was a parent, my children would come first and foremost. I've seen children trying to talk to their parents, trying to learn and observe about the world around them, asking their parents for some sort of confirmation or acknowledgment about the most trivial things. It takes literally like, 10 times for a parent to respond. What if the kid was being kidnapped?

"Mom... Hey mom."

"Uh, mom"

...Oh, were you saying something? *child is no longer there*

Way to pay attention to your kids. >_>

Whoa, at first I was like, "Whoa, what's AVG doing here?" I'm glad you were able to pull off a player in flash format, guys.

Nothing else to say except that AVG is... Awesome.

I'm taking it that other reviewers are disturbed that a video format is here on Newgrounds. Newgrounds can host anything, not just crappy stick figures drawn by 5 year olds.

I'm sure if this video was some 10 year old doing a crappy claymation project, you would've voted higher.

Another thing, I read somewhere that it said it was a ripoff of "Angry Video Game Nerd." ... "Awesome Video Games" is FAR from it... and if I remember correctly, AVG has been around for a LONG time. There's a difference in style... it's a completely different show. It just has to do with video games, which is the only similarity.

These videos already are on YouTube and other sites. However, posting it here is great so it can get more publicity... And I honestly think they pulled it off in a fashion that's great for flash. It had a border around the smaller player, and the quality wasn't damaged too much by it.

Too much crap gets vomited onto newgrounds people don't even realize the difference between something horrible and something good anymore.

Everyone who didn't vote constructively... go back to jerking it to your Pokemon Hentai and Kitty Krew animations...

...or, wait... I think they're the same thing...

This was awesome.

The graphics were of that of "awesome." But the best part about this was that it was true. The fact that you altered certain scenes made it a lot more fun and hilarious to watch for those of us who already saw the movie. (Like the hobos, haha.)
